DR FAREEHA KHAN (DClinPsy)
CLINICAL EXECUTIVE
Dr Fareeha Khan is a qualified clinical psychologist with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsych). She has worked clinically within the NHS and charity sector, providing emotional and psychological support to young people, adults and families struggling with a range of difficulties (including worry, anxiety, low mood, trauma, low self-esteem, and phobias). She has also gained additional specialist training and experience in supporting people to recover from their experiences of trauma and has extensive experience working with minoritised and marginalised individuals.
Fareeha hopes to provide a non-judgmental and supportive space in which you can safely explore and process your difficult thoughts, emotions, and memories. As well as developing a better understanding of your current context and coping styles, therapy can also help you to develop different ways of managing difficult life situations, contributing to improvements in well-being. Fareeha aims to meet you where you are at, support you to reconnect with your strengths and tailor an intervention to meet your individual needs, to promote psychological well-being.
Fareeha takes an integrative approach to understanding and working with a person’s difficulties. She usually draws on the following theoretical frameworks in her therapeutic practice: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-focused Therapy including EMDR, Systemic Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, among others.
